To take part in the public presentation, workshop participation is required. The workshop is held in English. Participation in the public presentation is symbolically remunerated.

Become a tree in the middle of the city – join the Woods project!
We are announcing an open call for everyone who practices headstand.
Stop for a moment on your way through the city in a unique, colorful forest. Woods, somewhere on the border of dance, performance and visual arts, uses us in a creative and poetic way to look at the burning current issues of climate change and life in our society. All this from a fresh point of view, literally “upside down”. Performers from Brazil, Portugal and Slovenia, together with members of the general public, are turning into tall trees. How long does it take to stand on your head? And how much longer will our forests survive?
Woods is not just a movement performance. It is a call for dialogue on today’s society and climate change. The need to give an answer to a world that is calling for change. Because there is no planet B. Solidarity and empathy drives the whole project. Performers of different ages, nationalities and genders form a single forest of mature trees, the strength lies in their diversity and mutual support.
We-nature can do it together. Stop making wars. Start planting trees!
Who we ‘re looking for
We are looking for everyone who practices headstand: students of dance, yoga, hip hop, capoeira, gymnastics, the new circus, etc., other sexes or ethnicities and the age of 18. Let our forest be as colorful as possible!
At the two-day workshop, we will try a headstand, get to know the work and study the choreography. We will strengthen different techniques and support each other and help each other act as one team – in the fight against inhospitable concrete, the shelter of nature, climate change and vanishing forests.

This project is part of the Big Pulse Dance Alliance, on which is cooperating 12 European festivals. Spring tour Woods (Lithuania – Sweden – Czech Republic – Great Britain) and got a support of the Perform Europe.
Woods is presented as part of the Big Pulse Dance Alliance – a collaboration of 12 European festival and the spring tour of Woods (Lithuania – Sweden – Czech Republic – UK). Woods is supported by Perform Europe and co-funded by the Creative Europe EU programme.
